The first British Book Awards, known throughout the book trade as "the Nibbies" due to the pen nib trophies awarded as prizes, were first presented in January 1990.

The prize, held annually, rewards the good and the great in the book industry with previous winners including Roald Dahl, JK Rowling, Delia Smith, Terry Pratchett and Salman Rushdie to name just a few.

Now, nearly 20 years after the first award, Ehaus has teamed up with the event organisers to launch a brand new website for the awards. The website includes video clips with many of the shortlisted authors including Barack Obama, shortlisted for both biography of the year and author of the year. The site also features a blog, enabling the websites audience to comment on the awards, whilst enabling the organisers to publish up to date, real time information about the event.

Harry Doherty, Content Editor of the GBBA website, commented: "Delivering the award to an online audience has become increasingly important. The design and functionality of the site has given us a platform to be able to do just that. The development Ehaus has undertaken suits our needs perfectly, in tandem with the Ehaus Remote Content Management System updating and adding to the site has been a breeze. Ehaus have made my life easy."

Matthew Pollock, Managing Director of Ehaus, commented: "In light of the work we do with publishers and booksellers throughout the UK, we are delighted to be associated with this prestigious literary award and proud of the work we have done."
